NIWeek 2016 – TI’s Continuous Delivery Machine (TS9344)
|NIWeek 2016 Presentation (TS9344) – TI’s Continuous Delivery Machine
Thanks to all who attended my NIWeek 2016 presentation in the Semiconductor Summit track on how we implemented Continuous Delivery at TI! What an excellent turnout!
For those who may have missed the presentation, below is the slide deck with full comments and most importantly, resources for building your own continuous delivery machine.
The NIWeek 2016 presentation directly follows my previous posts (Part 1 and Part 2) on Continuous Delivery. Definitely not enough time (only 30 minutes!) to cover such as complex topic but future posts will further explore the challenges we face as we push the limits of our build server in LabVIEW and TestStand environments. I’ll (hopefully) be covering topics such as scaling, complex environments, and Jenkins 2 features such as implementation pipeline as code.
Aside from my presentation, I’d like to add that in my opinion, NIWeek 2016 was by far one of the best in recent years. There was a LOT of technical content including the addition of the LabVIEW champions track which really made the conference a great resource for LabVIEW developers worldwide. Hopefully, they can keep the content at a high level in future years. It definitely seems like the future of LabVIEW will certainly be bright with the sneak peek into the next generation of the development platform. I’m pretty sure all of the long-time developers are breathing a *finally* sigh as it’s been long due and can’t arrive fast enough!
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
